There is no thread yet to post the results but me and bigtwigg have played so ill just post it here.
Champions League Knockout stage:
(Bigtwigg88) Lyon 1 - 5 Arsenal (SentinelK5)
A RVP double, wishlere, arteta and a lyon own goal from a arsenal cross proved too much for a lyon team who responded with a goal from gonalons. The first half was a very close affair with both teams having chances although Arsenal went in at half time 2 - 1 up, with Lyon scoring in the 45th min. Arsenal stepped up their game in the second half, knowing away goals were key causing Lyon to capitulate after a good first half. An from the arsenal contingent was constant, whilst arsenal could afford a poor penalty shot from rvp and good save from the ac keeper. Although it paid off as 5 start quality of Arsenal triumphed over the 4 and a half star lyon team.
Arsenal 2 - 0 Lyon
Lyon were more conservative knowing that conceding would kill off thier hopes or progessing, however goals from chamakh and rvp proved enough in a much more even game at the emirates. Both teams wasted chances in this game.
Aggregate : Arsenal 7 - 1 Lyon
