Dee Champion Dee!

   We are glad to announce Deeguain as our champion of the Championship for this season! On this occasion, we met with Dee to congratulate him and do a quick chat.

- Congratulations mate, well deserved title. How do you feel about this? are you feeling cocky now?

There would've been a better feeling had the league season been completed and to win by default is a bit disappointing. But on a positive note I have finally gained promotion to the Premier division which means I will face the top players on the site, which is what I have wanted to do since joining.

- It was a tough season, but the question is, which match was the toughest for you? and who you looking forward to play next season in the Premier division?

Definitley it was my only points drop of the season, the 1-1 draw to |fifaskillerz|. I always hate playing Man City on this version of FIFA and I was quite lucky to escape with a draw there.

There isn't really a specific individual i'm looking to face. I'm just looking forward to testing myself against the best players PS3gl has to offer when it comes to head to head.

- We have seen ups and downs this season. People lost interest, and some had to pull out. How did that affect your desire to play on?

It was quite disheartening if i'm honest. People should know when they sign up for a league like this that its something that takes months to complete. It ruins the experience for everyone else when the league is shortened or in this case, ended prematurely.

- Juventus was your choice, and it seemed to work out for you. Are they among your favorite teams? or was it a choice you had to make after some players reserved the top teams?


I dislike picking over powered teams, I just feel no sense of accomplishment winning with them!  Juventus are one of the most underrated teams by FIFA players. They are really well balanced all over the pitch, full of technical ability and power. I use them quite frequently on H2H seasons as they fit my playing style of possession and quick movement.

- Aside from the laziness that plagued the whole league, do you believe next season will be different? and do you love mrchoosy?

I hope so. As this season shown, there is no guarantee that there won't be people who sign up for a league that they will be "too busy" to play in a few weeks down the line.

- They better do 
If you were given an admin role now, within the chaos in all three divisions, what would be your decision to sort things out?

View people's previous history in various areas of the site before allowing them to play. See if they have dropped out of anything unexpectedly before, and if so, not allow them in. Make sure new members have accumulated around 15 posts before they can apply for a league.

Make the leagues contain more teams. To get it done quicker with more teams,  two legs will be played on the same night against the team you are up against. One invited by you, the other invited by your opponent. 3 points up for grabs in both games, no aggregate score.

- Away from the singles league, rumor has it that some top teams are offering you tempting offers, but you're waiting for your club approval. is it true? and what is your story on the beach with a bunch of Newcastle cheerleaders girls in bikinis?

Yes. I have been looking for a way out of Benfica for quite sometime now. I have received a few offers that I'd love to take when/if the league admins allow me to do so.

They told me they were 18.

- The brunette looked young .. Anyways! Finally, now that we are about to say goodbye to FIFA12, what would say you hated most about, and liked most about.

The impact engine was a disappointment, as was the new defending system. The impact engine has seen an increase in very soft free kicks and penalties given by the referee. The referring as a whole was a lot better in FIFA 11. I still defend how I did on fifa 11, I don't use the contain function, I just jockey. The only way I can play around contain defending is to force pressure by keeping the ball and frustrating the opponent.

I've liked the dribbling features in FIFA 12. When you're controlling technical players such as Iniesta or Mata you can actually feel it, and moving around the pitch with them feels effortless.

Overall, FIFA 12 hasn't been a great improvement (if any) on 11. Heres hoping 13 produces the goods.
